Top Story: A new analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data by the Center for American Progress revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic is increasing racial inequity as households of color bear the disproportionate burden of the pandemic’s social, economic, and health effects. (Center for American Progress)
- The Colorado state Senate reached a deal on a new tax fairness bill, which would end certain state tax breaks for corporations and high-income households, while increasing the value of the state Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) from 10 to 20 percent of the federal credit and expanding the credit to filers with an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.
