- The West Virginia Senate continued to debate a tax reform bill that would institute a 2.5 percent flat income tax, increase the state’s sales tax from 6 to 8 percent, and create a state Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). - Minnesota House Republicans introduced several tax relief bills, including one that would expand the state’s Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit (CDCTC) (Fergus Falls Journal).
- The Hawaii Senate Committee on Ways and Means is expected to vote on a bill that would create a state EITC (Columbus Ledger-Enquirer).
