Top Story: The Elevate Idaho Families Coalition, a partnership of organizations including the Idaho Center for Fiscal Policy and immigrant advocacy group PODER of Idaho, is working to collect stories from everyday Idaho families about how cash rebates have benefited them. - The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP) released a list of their most recognized tax charts in 2022, which included an interactive map highlighting all the state-level Child Tax Credits (CTCs) and Earned Income Tax Credits (EITCs) enacted in the last year. - Democratic lawmakers in Minnesota have shared their desire to prioritize an expanded state CTC this legislative session. The proposed tax credit extension would provide families with children $1,500 for every child five and older, up to a maximum of $3,000. For children younger than five years old, parents would receive $5,000 per child, up to a maximum of $12,500. (KTOE)
