State Spending on Public Benefit Programs and Child Maltreatment

American Academy of Pediatrics. November 2021. New research published in the journal Pediatrics found an association between increased spending on major anti-poverty programs, including the Child Tax Credit (CTC) and Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and reductions in child maltreatment.
