Top story: A new report from the Committee for Economic Development of The Conference Board (CED) calls for business leaders and policymakers to work together to make it easier and more attractive for Americans to find work and remain working, in part by strengthening the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit (CTC). - Stephanie Schardin Clarke, Cabinet Secretary of the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department, shared an analysis showing the recent expansion of the state’s Working Families Tax Credit along with other measures will cut taxes for 70% of New Mexico families with children and bring $64 million back into the state each year.
